After
shopping around for a little bit, my aunt bought me something I’ll
just call Iced Mango. It had three layers of Mango. The top was the
sherbet layer, the middle the ice cream, and the bottom had actual
mango chunks. It certainly was delicious. Getting back, I rested up
a little more still feeling a little out of it. I slept for about
an hour. Uncle Heui and the kids had finally arrived home and soon
we took off for my grandparent’s apartment for dinner. From
my grandparent’s apartment, we walked over to the restaurant.
Along the way, grandpa accidently stumbled, after tripping over a
randomly placed slab of concrete. Apparently, he had a hard time seeing
through one of his eyes and was going to have eye surgery the following
Monday.
Dinner was nice and plentiful. We celebrated my coming
to Taiwan and my littlest cousin’s first birthday. We took lots
of pictures and ate a lot. I think I ate too much and I felt a little
sick but I still think it was the jetlag I was feeling. After dinner,
Da-Ging was dropped off at xylophone practice, which was not too far
from the restaurant. We stopped by an underground store afterward
where Da-Quan starting getting mischievous by playing around with
me. At least he is now getting along with me better. After getting
home, I took a shower to wash all the stickiness from me and got ready
for bed. My two cousins seemed very

enthralled with the screen savers on their computer,
especially by the ones that warped or inverted the desktop. It seems
as if they haven’t seen screen savers before. Da-Chien, however,
was really into the batteries I had brought to use with my camera.
Thus, ends my first day in Taiwan. It certainly felt like a very
long day and I totally and completely was ready to go to sleep.
I couldn’t wait for the upcoming days I would be spending
in Taiwan!
