My aunt also got three bottles of water and two boxes of tissue paper. I remarked that this was most amusing because we didn’t have such things in America. At the mall, we ate lunch. I had a bowl of beef noodle soup, which I found to be most satisfying. The Takashimaya mall isn’t as big as The Living Mall, but the mall is interesting because most of the parking is sandwiched between the top floor and the bottom floors, where the mall was located. Taking the elevator down is quite the view. The bottom level stops behind a fish tank. We then went shopping. As we were looking around, I saw a Hello Kitty boutique and I decided to buy something for the friend I had talked to online. After some careful pondering, I bought two items; one for that friend and another for a friend I had in mind. The sales lady found out that I wasn’t from Taiwan and was surprised that I liked visiting Taiwan.

Anyway, afterward, as my aunt and I went up the elevator stairs, she pointed out this puzzle game to me. After trying it a few times, I found it to be most interesting and challenging. I carefully thought about whether to buy it or not because it cost 1560 NTs, which really wasn’t cheap. We decided to think about it and we went off to look at other things. There was a particular place that sold aromatherapy material. You would put a few drops of a specific scent into a night light and it would fill the room with that particular odor. There was a good deal for it and so we bought it.
I commented that one of the flavors smelled like an airplane’s bathroom, which made my aunt and the saleslady laugh. The tea that the little store served while we waited for our transaction to process was delicious. We went to the music/book store afterward. My aunt told me she liked this particular singer, which I thought sounded good as well. Anyway, I made my decision that I would buy the puzzle game and I paid the money for it. There was a free gift that went along with our purchase, so we quickly ran to the store for the free gift. We were in a hurry because we were only allowed to park at the store for three hours and we had already exceeded the limit.

We, then, went to pick up Da-Ging from school and Da-Quan from McDonald’s. Da-Quan had all these little gifts from the McDonald’s Happy Meal that he refused to share with Da-Ging. Da-Ging had this animal shaped Play-Doh that he wouldn’t let Da-Quan touch. Eventually, one of them touched the other’s stuff and they got into a fight, which wasn’t surprising. My aunt dropped them off at my grandparent’s apartment and Da-Ging had to quickly go do homework while Da-Quan played around with Da-Chien. My aunt decided to take me to this place called Yuan Kohn Street which is like the Champs au Lysée of Taiwan. There were many exotic stores full of exotic merchandise.
