The
cable cars that took us to the top displayed the sure immensity of
the park. The park stretched far and wide. Below us we could see several
performances going on. Once we got to the other side, we quickly went
down to see one of the performances that had not started yet. Before
the show, we bought ice cream for ourselves and savored them while
we waited. The show was about Nurawan aborigines. They were the people
that inhabited Taiwan Island before the Chinese or something like
that. The setting for the performance was elaborated designed. The
show was amusing enough. It began with the Nurawan men dancing and
wearing practically nothing. All they wore were waistcloths, which
were similar to what Sumo wrestlers would wear. They danced, chanted,
and did some tricks. In the end, they all swung on this rope, like
Tarzan, across the watery moat. Then, the women came out and danced.
They wore elaborately decorative clothes. Then, there was an older
man showing how they made fire using flint stones. Following, a woman
swung on a rope to show what Nurawan women did when they were about
to get married. People danced around her. Then, there was more dancing
afterward, along with some dancers on a raft. All in all, a very amusing
performance. Following the performance, people got a chance to swing
across the rope for free souvenirs, which I think were golden pinecones.
Afterward, we quickly ran up to the bus stop to ride the bus down
to the entrance to the park. Near the entrance, we watched this dancing

show and then Da-Ging and I went on this ride called the Space Race
which was extremely dated, and was in need of an upgrade fast! It
pretty much was a motion simulator. Da-Ging and I then had fun taking
pictures at this Fantasy Photo place. We took some funny pictures
but we didn’t buy any of it. Pretty soon, our day in the park
was over and we left the park. Before leaving, we went to this garden
next to the park. This garden was supposed to be an exact replica
of a European garden. I have to say that they came really close to
representing the actual thing. There was a fountain in the middle,
various statues around the perimeter of the park, and then a European
mansion at the very front. There was a train that could take us around
the park and so we rode it. After the ride was over, we went to the
center of the garden and took several photos of the scenery. The mountains
overlooking the park were slowly being enveloped by fog at this time,
which made the park seem even more beautiful and serene.
We finally had to leave the beautiful park and we took
off for a lake further south. We stopped by some old house first and
then took some pictures by the body of water. Finally, we headed back
to my second uncle’s house for dinner. The drive was quite long,
and when we finally arrived in Taichung, my uncle got lost and couldn’t
